About Eye Research Associates
Eye Research Associates LLC (ERA) is a collaboration of highly experienced eye care specialists with extensive experience in clinical practice and clinical research.
Our members are focused on in-depth examination and analysis of the science of eye care technology including medical devices and pharmaceuticals, through clinical research, strategic analysis and advice.
Clinical trial expertise
With unmatched collective experience in clinical research, our members have successfully performed more than 500 clinical trials and developed industry leading teams of principal investigators, sub-investigators, and research coordinators.
Our teams are uniquely qualified to perform as beta test sites and clinical research sites with the ability to complete study enrollment quickly and to efficiently and effectively execute even the most complex study protocols. We provide advice and guidance in the development of protocols, troubleshooting the unexpected issues that may arise during the execution of a clinical trial, including the development and execution of investigator initiatedstudies (IIS).
Professional leadership
Our members are educated, trained, and have achieved the highest level of licensure in their respective states as well as Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry. They have participated as faculty or adjunct faculty at many leading optometric educational institutions throughout the country. They have unparalleled expertise in all aspects of clinical trial management and maintain current certifications in good clinical practices (GCP) and the protection of human research participants.
Each of our members is active in conducting clinical research on ophthalmic pharmaceuticals and medical devices and consulting with pharmaceutical and medical device companies. They speak nationally, internationally, and testify before federal agencies as subject matter experts on a wide variety of eye care topics including ophthalmic pharmaceuticals, contact lenses, myopia control, dry eye, presbyopia management, ocular diseases, practice management, electronic health records, and billing and coding issues. They serve as key opinion leaders in the eye care industry.

Our members bring an unsurpassed amount of clinical expertise and knowledge with over 175 collective years of direct patient care, clinical research experience, product analysis and promotion, industry consulting, practice management, and advocacy. They have developed or collaborated on and published original manuscripts in various peer reviewed journals.
